Frequently asked questions
How do you play Scattergories with a random letter?
Everyone gets the same list of categories — country, city, animal, food, name and so on. Draw a letter, start the timer and write one word per category starting with that letter. Unique answers score a point.
Which letters are skipped as “hard”?
In English: Q, U, V, X, Y and Z — the same letters left off the classic Scattergories die. Untick the option to play with the full alphabet.
Can the same letter come up twice?
Not with “No repeats” on: each letter appears once per game. When all letters are used, press “New game”.
Does the timer make a sound?
Yes. A short beep plays when time is up, and the timer turns red in the last seconds. You can pause or stop it at any time.
